Dobie’s face is so serene and almost angelic. He has a purpose. What a gentle and beautiful creature. God Bless the man who loves him and damm to Hell the devil(s) who wanted him dead.

I am a firm believer in karma, catmom5. Those heartless ones will pay, if not have been paying already, for the cruelty they inflicted upon Dobie, throughout their lives. Life has its own rewards and punishment.

Bless this wonderful man. Look at all the good he has done for Dobie and all the people Dobie helps. Truly a “pay it forward” if I ever saw one. Those “people” who tossed this precious dog away should be ashamed of themselves.

Bless Duane Hodges, the wonderful man who paid for Dobie’s recovery.

Duane Hodges works near the St. Louis Park, Minn. parking garage where Dobie was found injured. He believes the intent was to end the dog’s life, and he is angry about it.

A vet said Dobie would have to be put to sleep, because the needed treatment would be too costly for a stray. Hodges went to visit the puppy at a clinic.

“And the puppy just ran to me, and that kind of broke my heart,” he said.

The cost for Dobie’s needed surgery and underwater treadmill therapy after the surgery was more than $5,000. Hodges said he didn’t even think twice about the cost.

“Ya know, the cost, I didn’t think about it,” Hodges said. “I just knew the dog needed help and I didn’t care. I’m a dog lover and therefore my heart went to the dog.”
