I, too, would like to say what a great kid I think Colby is & what a fabulous job Scott Jarvis & his wife are doing teaching him correct values. Just think how much better this world would be if there were more parents like the Jarvises.

Thank you Michelle, Lynn and Poodlluver. I'm Colby's dad and very proud of him. As a parent, you always hope you are raising your kids right. It's hard without the "manual" the doctors forgot to give us for each of our kids. :) It was wonderful to get some validation that we're on the right track. The best part was that Colby did it not expecting ANYTHING in return. He knew nothing of the news or possible 15 seconds of fame. All he wanted to do was get to meet Bama and play with her for a few minutes. Dogs on Call was able to make that happen.

Our family has found gift after gift out of this experience. The timing of the actual donation reminded us all of what giving is all about, especially around Christmas. At a time when we often get caught in finding the best deal or getting the lights and decorations up quickly, or trying to organize a flawless holiday dinner, we get short, frustrated, and overwhelmed. This year, if the turkey isn't perfect or the lights aren't just right, or if I pay a little more for some present, it doesn't matter. Family, friends, giving and remembering how prescious life is are what matters. Your comments have added to the joy of this experience and the holidays. Thank you for taking time to view Colby's story and posting your comments.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year.

Wow! Way to go Colby! There should be more people in the world out there like him. And just to think he's only 7 years old. The world can learn from a boy like this!
