Where else is she to buy a dog? And where is the law for the correct time of buying a dog?? And shame on you HSUS, after you slammed Brit, now you ask for her to be your ’spokes person.’ You are another group of users that only want to use Brit, becasue she is so FAMOUS. People don’t understand, that she is MORE powerful the Oprea!! That’s right, Brit Spears is a very powerful women and she could give women a voice, but sadly people around her use her, just like all of you, judge her for some stupid little things. To be honest here not everyone knows about puppy mmiles. I am sad that everyone is abusing her. You don’t know what it is like living when everyone only wants your money your fame, and thats it. They don’t care how you are feeling.

Not all pet stores sell animals from “puppy mills”. Some pet stores such as Petsmart and Petco work with local animal shelters and sell cats and dogs from those animal shelters.

Our local Petsmart always has cats in it from the local animal shelters. I think at least once a week they bring in the dogs from the shelters for a few hours.

The media and humane societies shouldn’t go around implying that all pets sold at pet stores are from puppy mills because that’s not always true. People are going to get confused and think the stores that work with animal shelters are bad. All that does is prevents a poor animal from getting a loving home.

She is part of the throw away society and unfortunately all her young fans try to be just like her. I agree with E. Too much air time given when there are real issues out there. Unfortunately the media “eats this up”, thinking it’s cute. Since she is unable to care for her children properly and sees animals as a fad…why would any respectable breeder sell her one of their puppies - same goes for a shelter or resuce. Probably the reason she had to buy it at a “puppy mill” store. Too bad she’s not smart enough to understand why those places shouldn’t be in business.

She’s been through about 7 different dogs at this point. They all seem to mysteriously dissapear, probably being given away when she realizes she can’t train them. I even read somewhere that when she sold her house, she included her two german shepherds along with it. I am very against buying from pet stores or breeders but that is just me because I am not breeding dogs or showing them. I think everyone can find their perfect dog or cat from a shelter and on the plus side, they are saving a life.

They do have a point, doubting the claim that the puppies aren’t from mills. We recently had a pet store open here that swears up and down that they don’t come from mills. Yet we have seen the papers from several puppies that say Thunder River Kennels and a few others in Missouri. I suppose she is relying on the fact that there is no state or federal definition of “puppy mill.”

Also, I have very little respect for the HSUS. But if they are able to get the word about about puppy mills, then so be it.

Obscurity is what this sadly used up looking young person needs and I am just as dismayed to hear that she reproduced as I am to hear that the price of yorkies has gone up yet again.
Every time the price goes up on little dogs the puppy mills go into overdrive.

What happened to the other little dog she had about a year or so ago? I remember seeing a photo of her and her then husband, K-Fed, with a small dog…..a teacup chiquaqua, I think.

Another case of buying the puppy from the pet store window. That kind of behavior just supports the puppy-mills. Think of the parents of this little puppy. That’s the horror, plus the health problems.
