Shaggy the cat saved the day.
His owner, Terry Lee Rucks, began to slip into what could have become a diabetic coma. Rucks woke up and started to sweat, shake and become nauseous because of his low blood sugar.
Rucks was unable to get up and was afraid that he would slip into a diabetic coma. But Shaggy sat right next to Rucks and kept him awake. He kept rubbing and pawing on his legs, jumping and meowing into Rucks’ ear.
After about 20 minutes, Rucks was finally able to stand up and go to the kitchen to eat something to raise his blood sugar.
Rucks said, “If it wasn’t for Shaggy’s persistence, I probably would’ve slipped into a diabetic coma and collapsed. I probably wouldn’t be here talking. I’d be in the hospital, or who knows where else.”
He added that Shaggy will definitely “get some extra loving” for saving his life.
Good work Shaggy!
