So who is the “Coca-Cola scientist, financed by NutraSweet” doing this? If Dr. DeSimone is doing this, why would they say it is a Coke scientist? The monkey testing done by NutraSweet was in 1970. Goggle the Bressler Report.

This is why you have to be careful about where your money goes when you donate to research:

“Not everyone agrees with Dr. DeSimoneâ€™s thinking, particularly when it involves tests on highly intelligent animals, as did a study involving a Coca-Cola scientist, financed by Nutrasweet, that cut open the faces of chimpanzees to study nerve impulses used in the perception of sweet tastes.”

“Elaine Palmer, a spokeswoman for PepsiCo, said that while the company had never supported the idea of animal testing, â€œWe had not been policing it, so that part is new.â€

Why can’t Pepsi and Coke taste test their own garbage, on their staff. But I guess they’d refuse. They know what’s in it.

If we can all spare a minute or two today why not send a quick email to these two companies to thank them for doing something right.
