Denver Airport Planning Pet Boarding Facility

Denver Airport

For those pet owners who live in the Denver area, pet boarding may get a little bit more convenient for you.

The Denver International Airport is planning a boarding facility for dogs, cats and other pets. It would be a 24 hour center operated and financed by a private company that could care for at least 100 dogs and 100 cats in addition to birds and exotic pets. Other amenities will include grooming, play areas and the availability of medical care on-site or within 10 minutes.

Officials are soliciting proposals for the center to be built on a four-acre site near a cargo area off Pena Boulevard. Construction would begin in August 2008 with an opening planned in February 2009.

Do you think this is for Denver residents or travelers or do you think this is for breeders who ship their pets?

  2. AJ says:

This will be a facility where travelers can board their pet while away from home. This is not a location for ’shipping’ pets. Contact the airlines for transport of any animals.
