Dog Adopts A Different Kind Of “Kid”

Billy the boxer has love for all sorts of animals.

He has adopted an abandoned baby goat as his “kid.” Billy has taken over the parental role for 12-day-old kid named Lilly. He even sleeps with her, licks her and protects her at the wildlife center where she lives.

Lilly was abandoned by her mother when she was just several hours old and was then adopted by Billy. She was the smallest of a litter of three kids, and her mother abandoned her because she could only take care of the two stronger ones.

Over the last month, Billy and Lilly have been inseparable.

Billy’s owner said, “Lilly follows Billy around which is really quite amusing to watch and Billy sleeps with the goat and cleans her mouth after she feeds.”

This is adorable! Boxers are the greatest dogs. Funny it should mention the dog cleaning the kid’s mouth. We had a Boxer/ hound cross who helped “raise” a puppy we got, and even when the puppy was full sized and as big as he was, Henry would clean the slobber off the younger dog’s mouth, and the food off his ears [he had long ears]. He took his caretaking job very seriously. Boxers are terrific.

So sweet and another great indicator of how wonderful a dog can be. Anyone who tortures and or kills animals in a bad way should receive the death penalty and or extended hard time in prison. The laws must change. We as humans must recognize our earthly duties to ALL species. We must hold the monsters responsible for their horrid deeds.

I love boxers. I was raised with them, and my first dog of my own was a boxer. They are wonderful.

This is such a sweet story!
