Dog Adopts Baby Panther
A Rhodesian Ridgeback has adopted a 15-day-old female panther named Milica at the Belgrade Zoo. Milica’s mother refused to feed her and tried to kill her.
The zookeeper said that the mother panther has killed all of her cubs since 1999. The zoo believes that she has been traumatized by the sound of NATO bombs during airstrikes in the Serbian capital intended to stop former President Slobodan Milosevic’s crackdown against ethnic Albanian separatists in 1999.
Milica is doing well and fights with the other newborn puppies over milk from her adopted mother.

i’ve seen the video for this, it’s pretty cute to see the little cat fighting for the milk from it’s new mom!

It breaks my heart about the plight of some animals, very moved by the kindness of the dog towards the panther.
