It’s been three months since Oscar, a four-month-old pit bull puppy, was found in a trash can.
Animal control officers found the little dog in a garbage can and took the injured puppy to veterinarians. He had injuries all over his body, blood in his eye, and a broken leg.
Veterinarians believed Oscar had been used as bait for dog-fighting.
Now, Oscar has recovered, and he just has a bit of a limp when he walks. But this doesn’t stop him at all from running around and playing on grass.
Jaime Blair and Chris Taylor followed Oscar’s story since the beginning and wanted to provide him with a loving and caring home.
Blair said: “They say he may have a limp, but I don’t care. He deserves the best home he can have. I was so mad. I think people that can do that kind of cruelty to something so innocent; it’s just a different kind of evil. Actually, I’m kind of a ‘turn-around’ case. When I was a child, I had a beagle killed by a pack of pit bulls, and it wasn’t the dog. It was the owners.â€
Oscar now joins the couple in their home, and he already has two big sisters, including Shea, a five-year-old pit bull.
Taylor said it will definitely be a crowded house and bed since the dogs sleep on the bed with the couple.
He added that Oscar is going to be spoiled and will have a wonderful life that he so deserves. Even though he was once thrown out with the trash, Oscar now will be the man of the house and the king of the heap.
