Dog Owner Flies 30 Hours To Find Missing Pet

Kate Dawson is a dedicated pet parent.

Dawson had just landed in Sydney when she heard her dog, Stella, was missing at London’s Heathrow Airport. She left her fiance at the airport and spent $7,000 on the next flight to London to help search for her missing five-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Stella was believed to have escaped after airport staff opened her travel kennel to give her a walk before putting her on the plane.

The missing dog showed up a week later in someone’s garden a few miles away from the airport. Stella was weak and dehydrated but alive and well. Dawson said that she had been completely distraught over the loss of her pet. She is extremely happy that she has been reunited with her beloved dog.

Glad Stella made it home ok.

We hope the fiance likes Stella as much as Kate does. If not, odds are the marriage won’t last very long if it even happens.

I hope the airport pays for that $7000 flight.

I would be devastated and lost without my Aussie, Rufus. I would stop at nothing to find him. Good for Kate that she was stedfast and strong in her desire to find her beloved Stella. And endless thanks for all the people who assisted her in her search for a dog that could not be replaced!
