Dog Poop Footprints Leads To Drunk Driver’s Arrest

Filed under: Dogs, National Dog, Cat & Pet Info, News for Cats, Dogs & Owners — Emily Huh @ 9:30 am

DogsDog poop may not be the most pleasant thing, but in this case, it led to a drunk driver’s arrest.

Josue Herrios-Coronilla was drunk and drove his car on the wrong side of the road. He crashed into the front yard of the McDonald’s house.

When the police arrived, all they saw were smashed bushes, broken fencing and an abandoned car. The driver was nowhere to be found.

But luckily, two of the McDonald’s four dogs, Comet, a Great Pyrenees and Snowball, a chow, took care of their business in the front yard. So, when Herrios-Coronilla stepped out of the car, he left a shoe print in the poop pile and a trail of poop prints down the street.

Authorities followed the poop prints and found Herrios-Coronilla hiding in a white van. He smelled of alcohol and his shoes were covered in Comet’s and Snowball’s poop.

He was charged with driving while impaired and drinking underage.

Meanwhile, the McDonalds are just glad that no one was hurt and their dogs were in the house when the incident occurred. Little do Comet and Snowball know that their poop helped fight crime.

This story is timely, with the January Chinook blowing through the south coast of Canada. With the big melt, all the poopsicles in the backyard came up this week. You know, the ones that have been sinking into the snow and ice since December.

It was time for the Annual Poopsicle Hunt.
