Woman Saves Dog On Expressway

LuckyImagine enjoying a ride down a highway when the driver changes lanes, and you go flying out the back window.

In the Dallas area, this is what happened to a light brown shepherd mix dog that’s been given the nickname “Lucky.

A woman that saw the incident said the driver was going about 40 miles per hour and Lucky miraculously sustained only a few scrapes to his face and paw. When Lucky hit the pavement, the woman was close enough to scoop him up before he could get run over by a car.

Lucky’s rescuer was not able to get any information on the car that Lucky was in. Efforts are being made to find Lucky’s owner.

Hope that Lucky can get lucky twice.

I’m not sure that Lucky’s owners deserve him back. Cannot understand why they didn’t stop and search for him when he flew out the window. Glad there was a guardian angel watching out for him. Bless her heart for taking such good care of this beautiful dogger. Hope his good luck continues and that he finds a home with someone who will truly take care of him.

    Lucky needs NEW owners.

It’s better they don’t find the owners…He deserves someone who has more sense & will be a better “parent.”

The dog was probably leaning out of the car window….can’t understand WHY people allow their pets to do that! Not only can they be thrown out, as Lucky was, but they can sustain eye injuries or become blinded from airborne particles that fly into the dog’s eyes when going at those speeds.

My dogs are both secured in car seats when we’re on the road. They are small and could really be thrown for a loop just from my having to hit the brake pedal hard!

Wise up, pet owners! YOU wear seat belts…..so should your dogs!!!

Oh, I love his sweet little face, and hope he finds a good (new) home.

This is why they make harnesses and seatbelt attachments for dogs.!!!!! Dogs are no different than small children - they become missiles in moving vehicles.
