Dog Stays By Owner In Car Crash

A loyal pit bull stayed by his owner’s side after a major crash involving a tanker truck.

A tanker truck crashed through the median on a Connecticut highway into oncoming traffic. The tanker hit a tractor-trailer and at least four other cars, causing them to all overturn.

In the tractor-trailer, there sat a brave and calm pit bull. The dog stayed by his owner’s side until help could arrive.

One witness said that she was calling the pit bull, but he just sat there guarding his injured owner.

The pit bull become anxious as the firefighters took his owner away, but a witness ran to the dog, put on his leash, and brought the dog to safety away from the chaos of the accident.

Brave, calm in a crisis, that sounds just like a pit. And what a good dog to trust the humans to look after his human and him in all the confusion.

The Pit Bull has so much class and loyalty. It is a sinful shame that so many wrong people through the decades have took advantage and exploited the very dog who was and still is in educated circles a true representative of the American Spirit and Bravery. Long live the Pit Bull.

This is why the pit was the symbol of America at the start of the previous century.

Wonderful dog, and wonderful passer-by to think of taking care of the dog in such circumstances. I hope the owner wasn’t too badly hurt and he and his dog can be reunited soon. Yep, the loyal and good pal dog in the old Our Gang comedies was a Pit Bull of some type, and nobody was wating for him to shred Spanky and Alfalfa to pieces.

Imagine a child seeing his parent seriously injured in an auto accident. The fear sets in and it becomes all-important to stay with the injured parent. No different with a beloved pet. I’m so glad someone was there to step in and care take the dog. This is indeed a person who knows that animals worry and are anxious. You can see it in the dog’s eyes in the video. Let’s hope for a very quick recovery……and a follow-up story please.

How grossly unfair to have labeled this wonderful, caring, companionate breed as fighters from the cradle. Those who think that should be terribly ashamed of themselves.
