Our 12lbs mutt still cries when he tries to get up the two steps in the laundry room. The steps are of unusual height even for humans!

Both my pups had to learn about stairs. The oldest dog came from a breeder and I wonder if she had ever been in a house. The little guy was a puppy mill rescue and he really understood crates but not stairs.
For some reason, the cats just took to it naturally.
