The entire country needs to calm down about this and let micheal vick go. Does anyone know how they kill cows and pigs for those bacon cheese burgers we love so much? They electrocute them! Just because he killed some dogs, that doesn’t make him a monster. I killed a cat just last week. It was an accident. It was under the car and got smashed. I didn’t know it was there and yet, i didn’t care cause it was JUST A CAT. I hit a deer on the way to work and the sheriff asked me for the meat. So why should he be imprisoned because he did what all people did to animals every day of their existence. Then animal rights groups want to talk about animal cruelty, but global warming is steadily increasing because these stupid vegetarians are eating all the plants which purify our atmosphere and trying to save the cows that are polluting our air. Cows produce methane gas which pollutes the atmosphere causing the ozone to become depleted! What are u doing to stop global warming?

i think deion is right. you have the UFC were you beat the crap out of someone till they tapout but yet you cant fight a dog. thats just stupid. its a felony to fight a dog so why shouldnt it be a felony to fight on national t.v dont make no since. you have ownership over your dog you have the right to fight your dog or not thats your property. i have a pit bull of my own. do i fight him? no. but i do want him to be the biggest badest dog on the streets. i think this whole dog fighting thing has gone way to far. its an animal not a human. if you cant fight a dog then why should we be able to kill
a deer or anthing to that matter. the dog is going to die sometime. i think its up to you and what you do with your dog.

This is all ridiculous… He’s a man and they were dogs. You are crucifying a man for vicious mutts that otherwise would be killing young children. He did not fight cute little puppies. He fought the vicious beasts. The only reason they went after him is because of his name. He got a raw deal. Beore you start saying that he is the scum of the Earth and that he came from a ghetto uncivilized manner, remember that he made something of himself and gave life to a dead franchise. He’s an amazing football player and the fact that he saw a few dog fights his friends set up doesn’t mean we should lynch him. Never put a dog before man.

I support him. I think hes a good guy who made some BAD choices and got caught up in the wrong things. He will serve his time that the legal system gives him. But he also has done good also. he gives back to the community, charities and helps young kids. This doesnt excuse his behavior but we have all made mistakes and we learn from them. But you can not label him like a common criminal. it is in NO way the same. Let him serve his time and come back and redeem himself, look foward to seeing him play in the future. ps I also have 3 dogs 1 shitz tsu 1 poodle and yes 1 Pit bull Lora from colorado

Really dog fighting is so bad. Give me a break, how bout we go deer hunting, bear hunting, duck hunting, rabbit hunting or lets just hunt the people who kill those animals. Its all culture maybe where Vick comes from thats his culture and killing poor innocent deers is not. I know rooster fighting is my countries culture and I would never kill dogs, deers, bears and so what thats my culture. We need to really get a grip on things.

I do however like your comments on the attention this is getting when there is so much worse going on in the world.

Don’t get me wrong….I think we should have already taken Vick out and shot him through the head with a bullet….guilty by association. (I’m from Texas and proud of it.) I used to like Vick but then, when he flipped off his fans and now….this…..no excuse. No reason to have him around.

I’m also a big believer in punishments being deterrents. (Can you tell?) I bet if he were already dead….the next big time football player that was approached to dog fighting would “just say no”.

I do wish people would get this excited about all the other stuff going on in the world though. If only all the other wrong doers were so famous.

You let a man take your love ones over to another country and get them killed over some freaking OIL and not say one word about it, but a man does some stupid bonehead stuff like fighting dogs and you want to crucify him. I agree that we should use our collective buying power to put out the message that affliations with animal abusers are not profitable. Money often speaks the loudest. Don’t buy any merchandise from companies that support criminals. Do make an effort to buy from the companies who do sever ties with questionable stars.

However, I don’t feel that the entire NFL is a valid target yet. Many past & present players love animals as much as any of us and are disgusted by dogfighting. If Vick is convicted & ever plays again, I will then give up watching football. The crimes of NFL players are finally being addressed. I say give them a little time to prove they are serious about cleaning up the league before you boycott.

Doug is right. Email, snail mail or call networks who employ pro-dogfighting personnel and thier sponsors. Tell them you do not support their relationships with these people. If enough people complain and stop watching these networks and stop buying advertised products, then maybe the sponsors will step in and stop paying all the big advertising dollars. When money speaks, the media will have to listen.

Straybaby, you’re right about the feds in a general way but I’ve seen them actually drop nine tenths of a persons crimes just for a deal making opportunity. I would be willing to bet the farm that if Neon Deion is involved in dog fighting personally, (and we have no proof of that) he’d roll his fellow players over in a heartbeat for a deal. With the names and information he supposedly has one has to wonder how far his smoke is from the fire.
