I purchased an bag of food lion crunchy bites 18 lb bag, this morning all my cats have been throwing up and bright red blood! No other common denominator than new food! Has their been any other complaints? Bought it at the food lion in Denver nc

In case these friendly responses are being monitored by Sunny’s minions, I just want to say that this 76 year old bereaved dog-mom seconds all these comments in spades. Sunny, et al, you could have saved my dogs, you sh*ts, and you chose to look the other way and then mouth lies and platitudes when exposed.

If they haven’t been forthright, upfront, timely, and honest at any time during this on-going debacle, why in holy melamine would we think that this question-answer dog and pony show would reveal anything new? THIS IS A BIG WASTE OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS. IF I HAD MY WAY, I WOULD GIVE YOU BASTIDS A HUGE PAY CUT AND A BIG FAT STEEL-TOED BOOT OUT OF THERE….

The following is Dr. Stephen Sundlof’s bio. I would think that the basic question is: After a distinguished career in veterinary medicine, and as the chief veterinarian for the FDA, how can you stomach your current job in which you have first hand knowledge of pet foods and ingredients that are killing our pets and are still on store shelves, yet you have no regulatory authority to either demand recalls or even release the names of those companies and brands? Seems like you are only regulating the public’s right to know where the toxins are.

Bio:
“Stephen Sundlof is Director of the Center for Veterinary Medicine, Food and Drug Administration. He served on the faculty of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine from 1980 through 1994 where he held the rank of professor.”

“Dr. Sundlof has published numerous articles in scientific journals on drug residues and food safety. He has presented more than 100 invited lectures at national and international meetings. He presently serves as chairman of the WHO/FAO Codex Alimentarius Committee on Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Foods and is past president of the American Academy of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He received both his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and Ph.D. in toxicology from the University of Illinois, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology.”

I have to agree with E Hamilton. I am trying to find a “polite” way to ask how are we supposed to know what foods are safe when they won’t tell us which ones tested positive for toxins???? It’s really REALLY hard to find a nice way to ask that when it is clearly so RIDICULOUS that this info has not been released. The obvious and honest answer (which you will not be getting from them anyway) is tough luck, we don’t care what happens to your pet as long as the pet food copmpanies keep making moeny. UGGGHHHH!!!!!!

I dont’ like to wish bad things on people so I hope no one gets sick from tainited food. But if it does come to that I HOPE it is the folks making these horrible decisions that get sick!!! And I darn sure hope they don’t have any pets because clearly they don’e care one bit about animals.

I wonder what the world-wide death toll of animals is due to this mass poisoning. All creatures and inert matter have energy. When the breath goes out of the living creatures, their energy stays. Due to how and why they died, there will be reprocussions for all those who caused it, those who covered it up, and those who abetted them in any way. They should be very fearful. ” revenge is mine, sayeth the Lord”. Now regardless of who you believe is the ruler of this universe–there is someone much greater than these meer mortals. And it’s time they realized that.

When was the last time you were offered monetary incentive by an importer or manufacturer?
