Florida Dog Fighting Operation Broken Up By Authorities

Authorities busted a major dog fighting operation in Santa Rosa County, Florida. They arrested Raymond Teamer, a Milton resident, who had 30 dogs on his property.

Officials said that dogs were found chained to posts throughout Teamer’s property, and many of the dogs had wounds that were consistent with dog fighting. Teamer was allegedly breeding pit bulls for fighting dogs in other states.

The pit bulls have been taken to the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter.

Teamer faces 30 felony counts of possession of fighting dogs, and 5 felony counts of cruelty to animals.

It is good to know that the dog fighters out there are now be agressively pursued by any lawman worth his badge. A huge Thank you to the men who have bravely stepped up!!!!

Nora, they have been doing this for years. It’s just that the news never cared about these stories, so the public never even knew about dog fighting. maybe that’s a “good” that came out of the violence inflicted by M. Vic.

I still for the life of me do not understand violent sports and the appeal of blood & death. Why you want to watch humans box eachother, or dogs and cocks kill eachother. What is the appeal, seroiusl?

I believe it takes a sick, distorted person to seek out and enjoy the pain of another living being. Animal fighting has no redeeming qualities. At least in boxing and people fighting, the people make a decision to be involved. The poor animals never have that choice.

I’m convinced that you have to keep stories like this alive and upfront with the news media. When more people see that we won’t tolerate this or any form of abuse, they’ll [hopefully] start making this world kinder to animals.

Catmom5: I agree totally….well, with one exception. I would love to see anyone who abuses animals be given a very painful sentence. If that makes me distored and sick….hey, so be it. LOL

  5. Lynn says:

    Tanya,

I can’t figure out the appeal either, except that it has something to do with small egos in need of a cheap form of competing to make money and establish male dominance….. “My rooster’s better than your rooster”……yeah, like it really makes you a man. Stupid, stupid, heartless murderers.
