I listened to Dr. Merck speak at an Animal Control seminar in Nashville, TN last week and she is great. I would love to hear her do a day or even week long talk on forensics. Thank you Lynne for your comment, it can be draining, but you would not believe how rewarding it can also be.

Hats off to Dr. Merck. This has got to be an incredibly draining profession. I worked for a police department for 15 years and saw all kinds of burnout. Let’s all keep in our thoughts these people who deal with horrific abuse on a daily basis and have the fortitude to keep on going.
