When our oldest rat had her last birthday, we gave her a very small cupcake. It was the very first processed sugar food she had ever eaten. In a word, she was manic about it. I had never seen her eat with so much enjoyment and enthusiasm. We knew it wasn’t a good food, which is why in almost 3 years she had never eaten it, but we knew it was her last birthday so we decided to let her have some.

Very cute little hamster. Lots of broccoli, hope he didn’t get gas. You need to be careful with giving little critters a lot of anything they like. They can get a horrible belly ache. That piece of broccoli for a hamster would be like me eating a bushel full.
