He was stranded as a baby and grew up without other orcas. He sought out companionship from humans and other animals. So he was being playful with that dog.

Sadly, Luna was hit by a boat and killed. But the websites above tell his story with interesting details.</description>

		<description>Uh... orcas eat seals. Dog barks and seal barks sound similar. Their heads are shaped similarly. I kind of doubt that was a playful gesture. Possibly it was... but I wouldn't let my dog play with an orca whale.</description>
