Lorie,
I finally got some of the free samples from the mother of my husband's boss. Now if we can figure out how to get them tested. JustMe has some samples of FF, too. Somehow we can get this done!

I posted my experience spring 2006 with IAMS dry, will post my FF experience Mrs. P is referring to as soon as page 2 and 3 are working.

Mrs. P

Hope you saw my earlier posts so sorry abut LadyCat. Hopefully someday soon one of my 20 cans of poison will prove Purina has been lying all along.

NB Eatables recall for botulism. Just got this in from that Club NB email thingy they started a few months ago.

============

Natural Balance was informed at 2:45 pm by our USDA manufacturer, Castleberry Foods, in Augusta, GA, that they are doing a voluntary recall on all 15 oz edible foods for humans as well as our Natural Balance Eatables for Dogs (Irish Stew, Hobo Chili, Chinese Take-Out and Southern Style Dumplin's with Gravy).

This voluntary recall is from one reported case of botulism in Castleberry's human edible Hot Dog Chili Sauce. Botulism is generally due to an improperly sealed can or a can that has become damaged, thus letting air inside.

Natural Balance checks all of its cans for any kind of leakage, puffiness or damage before they are shipped, and we have found none. However, to comply with our manufacturer, we are asking that you discontinue use and return Eatables for Dogs to your store for a full refund. We will give you more information as we get it.

You rock, Justme and Dingbat!

These new forums distill a lot of the discussion that has taken place, and hopefully will bring in additional points of view.

Ben, thanks for headlining this on the main page.

Great idea and they are doing a great job. I wish more of the posters that have complaints and are posting in other threads would post in there because we have many foods with chunks on ? and blue lines like fishing line. But they are not posting just the facts in these areas

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

My experience has directed me away from Petsmart and Petco where I used to shop.
Too many recalls, too much confusion, too much hype with not enough nutrional ingredients in the food. Also did not want so many poisons for my darling two cats.

I was running away from brand after brand shopping at these stores, plus running away from Walmart and Kroeger.

Got smart and went to a store I can trust not to have recall brands. Mostly give the cats California Natural wet and dry. Also give them Filadae wet and dry. A lot of human turkey and chunk light tuna (albacore is said to have too much mercury possibility).

Cats went from being poisoned, mostly by Nutro, to being healthy and feisty even at 14 yrs old.
