Steve Dale was very obviously in the pocket of Duane Eckedahl two weeks ago when I listened on WGN. Wonder what he has to say now. Have fun, be strong and good luck, Itchmo!

I’m so glad to know you wiull be out there telling the whole truth that the media keeps trying to shove to the back page.
I have been e mailing and snail mailing all the major news networks like FOX,MSNBC,CNN and the regular tv networks,ABC CBS and NBC begging them to do indepth stories on this situation like they do on people we don’t even want to hear about any more that we’ve been bombarded with for months over and over but so far no luck.
Thank you for your tireless efforts
Kathy

Never heard that one about him at all - can you elaborate….

itchmo is great…but i don’t understand the questioning of steve dale. I’ve kown about him two years. I don’t know all - but here’s just a taste, fighting and beating breed bans in Chicago and elsewhere. He raises money for cats with the Wind Foundation, and the money he’s made for the research help to identify a gene in Maine Coon cats. He help’s shelters locally, nationally, and defends breeders (how many do that these days?). My friend in the Chicago area called the show. And he ran out of time and then he chatted with her 30 minutes off the air, maybe saving the cat’s life. Be angry at China, or whoever - not this guy. He’s well respected and for a good reason. I don’t know him, but I know people who do.His reach and influence and impact are important. Itchmo will sound great on the air. I’ll be listening! It’s good for Itchmo. And deserved pr.

I haven’t had a chance to listen to the May 6 show yet.
I hope Ben goes on unedited… has anyone checked out the podcast of the April 25 show? ALL of Dr. Hodgkins interview is noticably absent. Mr. Ekendahl’s comment about refusing to be on with Dr. Hodgkins is edited out. All that remains are Mr. Ekendahls’ comments (and Steve Dale’s agreements) that commercial pet food is safe and more regulated than human food. “16″ dead per FDA, “6 reported” by Banfield. (No mention of Banfield’s report of hundreds SICK, just “6″ - the number dead.) Oh, and an interview with a woman who wrote a book on dog breeds.

Gee, I wonder who advertises on Steve’s show? Pet food companies, perhaps?
Steve also says “happily, hundreds likely dead, not thousands” posted AFTER the FDA’s release that says 4,150 reported dead.
I believe he had Sundloff from the FDA on this weekend.

I listened to the inteview with Ben via “PetCast” last night - well done.

I’m assured the omission of Dr. Hodgkins’ interview was an oversight, and they’ll include the interview in the May 23 petcast.

My bad! The interview with Dr. Hodgkins is there, on a separate “petcast”

This week’s “Picks of the Litter” are Kim Thornton and Dr. Deb Eldredge, authors of the book “The Everything Dog Owner’s Organizer,” which includes calendars, charts, checklists and schedules to keep your dog happy and healthy. Then, Steve talks with Dr. Elizabeth Hodgkins, who testified about the pet food recall during the oversight hearings of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Sub-Committee. Dr. Hodgkins believes, unlike Steve, that it’s easier and safer to cook your pet’s food yourself.
