Top: Scooby is a black and white dog, a mix breed adopted at the age of 10 months from the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in Maine. He is 4-years-old.
Bottom: Scooby is playing with Derby, a brindle brown dog, his best friend, a mix who was adopted at the age of around 3 from another local shelter. Derby is very fortunate to have been shipped north from Georgia on the last day of his stay at a kill shelter. He is now about 5-years-old and lives in luxury with his owners Scott and Deni and walks with Scooby daily.

Scooby looks like a Queensland Heeler mix (with his coat pattern and bottle brush tail and confirmation) and they are SO intelligent and faithful and atheletic dogs! What a Godawful waste and tragedy it would have been if he had been euthanized at the shelter. He is SO CUTE!
