Sorry to hear about Blackfoot. That is so scary. In your backyard!

Definitely a reminder to me to watch out for Daisy. We ran into a Western Diamondback just two weeks ago on one of our walks in the foothills. No more running around off-leash for Daisy until the snakes go back to sleep in the fall.

Oops, I should say the ticking reminds me of my dogs. Mine are liver and white, with ticking and a dark liver head, not black. I have only seen brown and white JRT, with spots not ticking.

Very sorry about Blackfoot - we have rattlesnakes in our immediate area (though not on our land) and we have to be ever vigilant with our dogs, as they are German shorthairs, a hunting breed that hunts up everything, and probably wouldn't hestiate to sniff a snake.

I am wondering, though - I have never seen a Jack Russell with this coloring. In fact, it is more the coloring of my GSPs than a typical Russell - I think he was a beautiful animal.

The first two sweeties are making me jealous for a nap! I'm so sorry for the loss of Blackfoot. He even looks like he was special as well a handsome.
