Such dear and sweet cat pics. No wonder there is so much anger at the pet food manufacturers when you see what they have done to our pets.

    Mrs P,

I am so sorry about LadyCat, we have to now more than ever figure out which batch of Elegant Medleys it was and have it tested out of the remaining cans I have left. If I was rich I would would test them all. have you tried to contact Purina again about what happend? Let me know if you do, I wil gladly call again also and refresh their memory on what they did to my girls also.

    My deepest condolences Roberto.

I know just how painful it is to lose a kitty. I’ve had cats since I was 5 yrs old (29 yrs old now) and it never hurts less when I experience another loss.
My two oldest kitties that passed over to the Rainbow Bridge a few years ago, had the kidney failure. I hold you and your family in my thoughts and know that your kitty has gone to the Rainbow Bridge and is waiting for you.
I need to ask, since I have several kitties. What cat food were you feeding your precious baby and who makes it?

    Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends, so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

It’s hard to talk about it. One lousy can of Purina Elegant Medley (Chicken Florentine) killed her. It was a free sample. They were all on Wellness (both bags tested negative for Melamine and CA at Cornell). Her urine tested positive for Melamine. Purina denies all of this. They would not let the vet talk to their vets. It was straight up denial. They told him it had to have been someone else’s food. But it wasn’t. The other cats didn’t eat the Purina and they’re fine. Maybe they’ll boot me off here for blaming Purina, but I do.

I also want to thank everyone here for their kindenss and comforting words.

    Roberto
