In memory of Zeus: “Zeus came from the Amarillo, Texas animal shelter. He was the most delightful, friendly cat I’ve ever known. Sadly, he died at the age of eight, from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. His sister, Xena, who looks just like him, still lives with me and seven Cairn Terriers.” You are missed Zeus.

What a beautiful boy! I lost Dexter Louise from HCM at aged 7 years. It’s just a nasty disease. I’m sorry his time with you had to be so short.

So sorry for your loss. I have a long haired cat that looks like just like Zeus. He is the most loving, gentle and sweetest cat that has owned me.

I am so sorry for your loss of Zeus. He was beautiful–especially his gorgeous blue eyes.
My nearly five year old DSH cat, Frank, also suffers from HCM. Thankfully, we have it controlled well with medication and are praying for many more years of companionship with him. His littermate sister so far shows no sign of the disease and we pray that continues as well.
