Man Drags Dog To Death Behind Car

Warning: This story may disturb some readers.

An Indiana man who was mad that his pit bull had killed his Chihuahua dragged the pit bull to death behind an SUV.

Authorities arrested Kevin Collins and charged him with felony animal cruelty. A woman witnessed Collins dragging the pit bull behind his car and called 911.

Collins was found at his parent’s house and he told officials that he dragged his pit bull because the dog killed his Chihuahua.

Police officers said Collins dumped the body along the road and left it. If convicted, Collins could be sentenced to six months to three years in jail.

Six whole months. Wow, that’ll teach him. (heavy sarcasm)

I hate that these stories are so common. Indiana’s laws are antediluvian. Can I just pull the covers over my head and come back in 500 years when this is all fixed?

  3. pat says:

i like to think that when we pass on, whatever powers that be deal with this sort of creature by doing to him exactly what he has done to others… for eternity.

  4. shibadiva says:

Imagine all the cuts and scrapes and burns and toe-stubs and emotional hurts you’ve had over your lifetime, and now imagine them happening all at once, at the hands of someone you loved and trusted.

  6. Lynne says:

pat, in his book Saved by the Light, author Dannion Brinkley said when he died and crossed over, he did a ‘life review’… reliving each instance of his bullying as the person he bullied. I don’t see any reason why this wouldn’t hold for animals as well.
It’s going to suck to be this guy in Indiana. And I hope this asswipe doesn’t have kids.

  7. Cathy says:

The only difference between this guy and the PFI execs is that he’s going to jail (no long enough, but he’s going). If we multiply 6 months to 3 years by 10,000 or more dead animals, that would work.

  8. Bridgett says:

I am a firm believer in “What comes around, goes around”. This guy will get his.

  9. Mark says:

I know it’s not popular, but sometimes that old “an eye for an eye” revenge just sounds right: this guy should also be dragged behind a car.

  10. Bridgett says:

    Here here.

The pit was also his dog! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

To bad the chihuahua died before it could bite the owner in the axx! My chihuahua and pit bulls get along great.

I strongly believe in the legend of the Rainbow Bridge and would not want to be this man when it’s his turn–The legend explains that when we die we must all cross the Rainbow bridge to enter heaven. Waiting for us at the bridge are all the animals we have encountered in our lives. They will pass judgement on us and decide IF we are GOOD enough to enter heaven….need any more be said?

I pray daily that I will be judged good enough.

I’m so tired of hearing that pit bulls are the dangerous ones!

  13. Lynn says:

First of all, why did he leave the two dogs alone together if there was the possibility of a problem between the two of them? It doesn’t take much in the way of brain matter to study and learn how your pets behave in the face of some provoking situation. So he was pretty stupid to leave the two together. Then to take it out on the Pit Bull - that was really, really horrible. Someone should bar him from having any pets for the rest of his life. [PLEASE tell me he has no more pets.]

I never heard about so many cases of dog-dragging as I have recently. Is this something new or?????

  14. furmom says:

People don’t just wake up one morning and drag their dog behind a car. This Pit bull could very well have been abused before, living with such a violent maniac. I still believe that a Pitt with a normal upbringing would not hurt another dog especially from his own family. A concept the owner didn’t even have. If he hated the pitt so much why didn’t he simply give it away, or put it down. This guy is dangerous, and six months in jail won’t cure his problem.

  15. mittens says:

like master like dog. the 2 deserved each other-the dog however has an excuse-his behavior is the fault of the owner. out of control master=out of control dog.

once a dog kills another dog/animal not out of legit defense it’s time for it to be humanely killed. the dog ain’t no good just like the owner.

  16. Cyndy says:

How many horror stories like this are we to endure? It seems to be never ending. Absolutely sickening and gut wrenching.

  17. tony says:

We are the worst killers….Yes we are supposed to be the smartest…the most caring..ah!ah!ah!ah! We are Humans..we are stupid.and what do you do with Stupid? You erase it!!(Only in my Kingdom!!) Unfortunately!!Six months? WOW..Now that’s the best punischment!! How about collar him..and slowly dragg him over a dry salted lake..and when he falls.Keep dragging until the salt gets into his wounds and ooUCH!! that gotta hurt!!!!

  18. Furbabies says:

That guy needs to be made to feel the pain he caused his dog. I volunteer to be the one to drag him. Anybody with me?

  19. KarlaSanDiego says:

HE’S A MOTHER F____R!!! All of you are so wonderfully polite. I’ve said this time and time again, and I’ll keep saying it…..whatever type of animal abuse they do must be done onto them. He needs to be dragged to his death too. End of story.

  20. nora says:

Abusing or killing a dog or cat (they have the perception of a human toddler) should be prosecuted as if it was a crime against a human. Although I really prefer Karla’s resolution. This torture of animals has been tolerated for far too long. Extermination of all people who are capable of such horrid deeds would make this world a better place for all!

  21. Veronica says:

People who don’t understand dogs shouldn’t have them (the same goes for children, but that’s another story). There’s something called “prey drive” that is deeply imbedded in some animals’ instincts. If you know your dog has a strong prey drive, you can’t leave them unattended around smaller animals. There are ways to diminish this drive but it takes a lot of work and consistency. This guy sounds like he was just too stupid - revenge is not the highest form of intelligence. May both dogs rest in peace-

  22. adrie says:

People are getting really sick of animal abuse. These animals dont know any better, they are completely loyal no matter how bad you are to them. We should drag that ass behind the car. Six months is bullshit.
