A New York City pet owner is offering a $10,000 reward for the return of his missing African gray parrot named Franklin.
Franklin disappeared last Wednesday from the place where he sometimes boards. Franklin’s owner suspects that his parrot was bird napped. He said that Franklin could not escape on his own because his wings were clipped and African gray parrots are lifelong monogamists, so he wouldn’t have gone off on his own to another home.
The owner has put up numerous fliers all around his neighborhood offering up the $10,000 reward for the return of his bird with no questions asked.
He said that Franklin can be identified by his imitation of a cell phone ringing and fire-engine-red tail feathers.
