i found my 3 newest cats through pet finder dot com. i had my doubts that getting a pet through the internet was like getting a date that way- a desperate move with the promise that 1 out of 10 contacts is bound to be a registered sex offender or serial killer or both. it turned out perfect-i just love my new girls.it's very addictive though-all those pictures of adorable animals in need.

i never thought id really want a pure bred cat-i was always one for the raggedy mongrel pound kittens and the funny looking difficult cats no on wanted.and there was the mug shot of a poofy himalayan and my knees got weak. and her human was put in a nursing home and the poor cat was taken to the shelter- i nearly swooned and had the vapors...

the best remedy for the sadness of losing my elderly 20+ year old cats lately has been saving another life through adopting new friends.

I love this story. My boyfriend and I (ages 48 and 54) had our 3 big dogs and then recently, rescued from one of the local shelters a Jack Russell-Blue Heeler cross. She is a tiny adorable Diva. My Aussie, Rufus and our Blue Heeler, Zoro and our Canadian Huskie Mix Sasha, have disiplined and instructed "Patches" on how to be a Doggie also. Her and her litter mates had been surrendered to the shelter before their eyes were open and had to be bottle fed and fostered. Rufus does most of any dog mothering and my boyfriend and I did alot of spoiling at first. We now exist in blissful pack harmony. She is a ball of fire!!!!!
