I feed my 15 year old cat named - Whitie - a/d Hills canned cat food prescribed by the vet. She was so sick for a long time. Peoples tuna and a/d Hills canned cat food is all I trust. I do hope I never see a/c Hills on a new recall list as it is food for sick cats. I am so upset over it all. She will never be the same again. 3 companys and the FDA have been contacted by me. Her kidneys have been damaged. What a world. Will we be next to have a recall list for humans Lots of animals all over the USA have died and God only knows where else. Poor Whitie, she has such a strange look in her eyes. Thank God that I never gave her Hartz vitamins. I just do not trust any pet food companys.

Hope a/d Hills canned is ok - seeing that the vet prescribed it. What a recall list on the web. I am sick over it all. She will never be the same. 3 companys and the FDA have been contacted by me. Her kidneys have been damaged. What a world. Will we be next? You must check every pet item, never mind humans. No, she did not die but she was and is sick and old. Why do we do business with China? Lots of animals have died all over the USA and God only knows where else. I put a drop of oil now and then in the peoples tuna. Poor Whitie, she has such a strange look in her eyes. Thank God I never gave her Hartz vitamins.....

While it is true that garlic and onions can be toxic to our pets, most of our pets don't ingest enough garlic or onions to cause them harm. Garlic and oinions are in the same "family" of plants and can cause anemia if eaten in quantity. Look at the ingredients list of many commercial pet foods and one will see garlic listed. Some say it helps keep fleas away. Years ago I studied pet food ingredients lists and noticed Petigree had "spray dried blood" in their dry dog food. I have always wondered why that was in there..... to make our domesticated carnivorous hunters attracted to it? That could be appealing to our pets, but the human impression of it is, "Oh, gross." One may wonder why pet food manufacturers put anything remotely toxic in their foods, but the little bit of garlic they put in there doesn't keep me up at night worrying about all the pets out there. What bothers me more is the addition of joint support supplements because I think of them more as drugs that should be administered with a specific dosage customized for the animal. We have no idea whether our pets are getting the correct dosage. I am betting there is too little in there for any benefit because to add more would risk an overdose to somebody.

Hartz has a long ugly history of killing pets with their flea control products( last large under reported one was 2002 i think)-that not more was ever made of it is disturbing but i suppose to be expected given that these companies routinely get away with murder and the FDA and EPA( flea control products are pesticides and come under that bureau's ' management' but theyre just as useless as the FDA and just as up big business butt) can do nothing more often then not or simply won't do anything to rock the corporate gravy train boat and the comfy corporate BJ jobs that await them when they leave government service.

even though in the past Hartz recalled some of their deadly products voluntarily, the EPA can't force retailers from selling the stuff- theyre not empowered to do so which is a point many people fail to recognize. that's the law- they 're in charge of the often deadly poisons these companies manufacture that may harm us, our pets, the earth and all the EPA is set up to do is take in their mounds of paperwork, churn out official ' warnings' and danger stat sheets (that are never updated as much as theyre required to be by law) and hint at how companies can change their labelling to make any products less dangerous.

is it any wonder the pet food recall unfolded the way it did and there seems no end in sight to this bullsheet heap sickness, death, and ' voluntary recalls'? considering their perhaps decade long if not longer commitment to killing cats in particular with their crap products, i would never buy Hartz anything. i understand that in some places there may not be as wide a choice of products but that's what the internet is for-buy the harder to find independently made products there.

I didn't see this earlier, but "Anitra's Vita Mix " is probably out of a book "The New Natural Cat" by Anitra Franks. It's very inexpensive to make. It's a version of Dr. Pitcairn's healthy mixture. He is quoted in her book. Do some research people.

Get Dr. Pitcairn's Book "Natural Health for Dogs and Cats". He is a retired Holistic vet, open a holistic vet school, and has a PH D. in immunology, so he knows about this stuff. I use Timberwolforganics, Innova Evo. and about 80% is raw food that I make. Use Pitcairn's healthy mixture, works for cats and dogs. This mixture will have almost all the vits and minerals you need. Get some ascorbic acid caps, good quality, vit e oil and garlic powder. Read his book.
Also keep in mind there's no meat per say in most foods and if you read you'll find sugar is used a lot, so which food would taste good to you?? Making food isn't that tough.
About garlic...I've been putting it in food for years, it's onions that can kill. My cats blood tests show how healthy they are.
My email cuda@mysite.com, put itchmo in subject so I read. I can help you find stuff.

Why do they insist on using the word voluntary in conjunction with recall? As I have been made to understand all recalls are voluntary as these agencies do not have the power to recall. Obviously it is a manipulation of some sort. FDA finds a poison and alerts the company...then the company chooses to recall. Some companies like Walmart choose not to recall. Instead they just quietly remove the product and give refunds to consumers that request refunds. Could someone clarify this? Arn't all recalls voluntary?

"While normal testing conducted by Hartz and UFAC has not revealed the presence of Salmonella in any Hartz products, sampling conducted by the FDA did detect the presence of Salmonella. Hartz is aggressively investigating the source of the problem."

The source of the "problem" is the FDA, Codex, and the globalists. Watch Endgame Blueprint For Global Enslavement for free on my web site. Soon they will control all the food, medicine, water, land, everything for us to survive. Our dear pets, animals, & bees are our first line of defense! They are the watch dogs, and they have been sounding the alarm.
Take it for what it's worth.
Prepare yourselves, if you haven't already.

Almost all bulbs are poisonous to cats and dogs. Keep your critters out of the tulips, please!
Capstar is great for a one time infestation. We used it on our rescue dog so she wouldn't infect our other dogs or house with fleas. It is NOT the same as Frontline or Advantage. It offers no long lasting protection like the other products do.
By the way, where do you think Hartz, etc get those vitamins? From China....

pheephee35,

Garlic is a no no for cats and dogs. One of the goofs from PETA has been publishing vegetarian cook books for cats, which uses garlic in most of the formulas. That's probably the source of using garlic in homemade pet food formulas, but the source is a half wit. For starters, cats are obligate carnivors and a vegetarian diet is about the worst idea in the world, and things like garlic and onions are poisonous to cats and dogs. As I recall, tomatos are also very bad.

I doubt small amounts from licking a dish would be a problem, but it's better to avoid that sort of thing altogether.
