The annual fee covers only until Dec 31st each year no matter how late in the year you enroll. To swim with your dog you have to hike about 1/4 mile down the trail (unfenced and on the lake) and "sneak" to a beachy area and hope that the park rangers don't catch you with your doggie off leash. Very sad for a city as large as D.M. I have to seek other places also to let my precious pooch run and be happy and healthy......It is a must.
