If Goodell’s and Blank’s PR people are worth half their salt, they do read this website. This is where they can take the pulse of the pet lover and understand the “worst case scenario.” Let’s face it, in order for them to do good damage control, they need to understand where we’re coming from.

Kudos to Goodell and to Blank for supporting the decision. However, Vick should be banned for life from the NFL, serve prison time, then complete his sentence with community service in animal welfare. The strong Goodell statement should serve as a warning to others.

don’t celebrate so soon…he was only suspended indefinitely without pay. he should have been BANNED FOR LIFE!!! the way it is now, he can serve his time and some team can still hire him. BANNED FOR LIFE is the way to go.

I applaud Mr Goodell, Mr Blank and NIKE for doing the RIGHT thing! Agreed that it’s very disturbing how much support there still is among the players and certain “entertainers”.

I must say I am surprised by this decision…pleasantly surprised. I really didn’t think the NFL would suspend him even after all of this. I am so happy to see Roger Goodell, the NFL, and Nike actually put morals ahead of money.
