Dogs playing with Christmas ornaments, playing in the snow and looking up with snow on their muzzle, mis-behaving … excellent music from the Marine Band … I think it’s a nice “home video.” It even has genuine people who can’t act.
And two world leaders willing to look a little silly on camera. Out of the 192 countries that belong to the U.N., how many heads of state are willing to look human?
France’s Nicolas Sarkozy? Germany’s Angela Merkel? Russia’s Vladimir Putin? China’s Hu Jintao or Wen Jiabao? I just really don’t think so.
(Venezuela’s Hugo Chávez doesn’t count because he doesn’t know how others see him.)
My only gripe is that you got this _American_ video from the BBC. Fine if they just passed it along, but no … gotta stick in an advert (as they call them).
We just finished enjoying your holiday video, Barney. You are looking very proper there in the White House with your family and we loved seeing you running up the red carpet stairway.
Please tell the President and Mrs. Bush that we appreciate the way they have conducted themselves while in residence there in Washington, D.C.
at the White House.
We wish your entire family a very Merry Christmas!

The pups are much better actors than their owners. I’d still like to know what they are being fed.

Barney is the only Bush I have any respect for.
