Yea, and when the puppy mills overflow with unwanted animals, they can be sold to the labs. They are all criminals. So that is how they end up with dozens and dozens of purebred beagles at the same time and the like.........

It does my heart good to know there are so many informed folks out there. For 10 years I had to drive by P & G's facility on my way to work - horrendous! And I did know someone that worked there - for a short time, (because of the treatment of the animals). I, too, boycott all of P & G's products and have for 30 years!

Now for a little update directly from P &G:

http://www.pg.com/science/animal_alt.jhtml

(Feel free to read all the articles in total for yourself - it is
most definitely the strongest attempt at PR I have ever seen, however, only a total moron would believe any of it)

Health Care Research Policy

...Current scientific knowledge and regulatory standards require that we use animals in the process of developing these products, both to safeguard humans and to direct the basic research process prior to testing in people. It is our policy to use the minimum number of animals necessary for this work and to progress toward the goals of reduction, refinement and replacement of animal use on an ongoing basis. We are currently working hard to identify screening techniques which can take the place of animal tests in the earliest phase of drug discovery....

Pet Nutrition Research Policy

...We make sure that the dogs and cats we work with receive the best care; they are cared for to the standard that we as pet owners would give our own pets. They only help us in studies that are the equivalent of those done with human volunteers, and are adopted into loving homes or placed in our retirement facility when their help is no longer needed.

Consumer Goods Research Policy

...Governments tell us that it is currently not possible to avoid all animal use and maintain the same levels of health protection. ...We are also working with governments around the world to challenge remaining legal requirements to test on animals and to find other options wherever possible. In this way we will work to limit and ultimately eliminate animal testing for chemicals. In the meantime, we do not test our products on animals unless forced to do so by law.

And for those who have any doubt that all this double talk serves any purpose other than money grabbing needs only to see the third partner in this money grabbing conspiracy:

"Joint Declaration by the Humane Society of the United States® and the Procter & Gamble Company on the Elimination of Animal Use for Consumer Product Safety Evaluation."

LOL. Money, money money. Now that the HSUS has grabbed all the money they can from the Michael Vick fiasco publicity, they'll be moving on. P & G will be equally as profitable for them - and in the end the animals will continue to suffer...

Check out the book that HSUS and PETA don't want you to read:
"Redemption: The Myth of Pet Overpopulation and the No Kill Revolution in America" by Nathan J. Winograd. It does work and he shows you how!

Did I misread that? Peticide? Is that like suicide? Definitely self-inflicted. Better P&G than our pets. In the 90's Iams and Eukanuba were highly reccommended by breeders, now they are synonyms for death.

I think we should pay attention to this website, see who all their advertisers are, and email everyone of them telling them what we think of P&G, what P&G does, and that we will never buy a product involved with them OR THEIR ADVERTISERS. I think hitting the advertisers is important. God, they all make me so sick...
Draize tests...still?!
I've been trying to get the fur situation on tv since we're now starting with our Christmas shopping...so, so difficult...
Anyway, let's all get emails out to P&G and their advertisers...maybe it will help.

>>Let’s cut to the chase of why, in my opinion, this site was most likely created. Money. The site is focused on getting advertisers and attracting consumers to the advertisers.

Maybe We can all write letters to NBC and tell them We will boycott them and why? It can't hurt if We bombard them with Emails. And make sure they know P&G does horrible testing on animals.

I have boycotted P&G for many years because of their vivisection policies. I am very disappointed in shelters for their use of Spic N Span and other P&G products. When they went into the pet food business, I was horrified. This means more animals will be used in animal testing. They continue to use Draize testing on products that were tested years ago. Shame on P&G. I will continue to tell people about this horrific company. Everyone should boycott P&G.

Anonymous, good question! somehow I don't see P&G allowing us to tell the world what happened to our pets. They are hoping it is all well forgotten. Talk about PR spin. They are hoping pet parents see how "concerned" they are for us and our pets welfare - putting a website together to attract us, make us feel good while they continue to produce substandard pet food.

NBC, you have now displayed your true colors. PFI, FDA and the news media... it's all about the money.

Adios NBC. As for PFI, I homecook.

"The site has pet information including medical advice, tips, videos, and you can set up a social networking profile to meet other pet owners."

Do you think pet owners can talk to others about how their pets were killed by IAMS & Eukanuba, or do you think those comments will be censored?

"Thank goodness for independent websites."

Until Net Neutrality is defeated. Imagine getting this new p&g website in 8 seconds or less but having to wait for several minutes for each Itchmo page to load.

And yes, P&G still tests on animals. Don't suppose any of them will show up on the site, do you?

How else are they going to discredit the public? Now they have their own web site. I don't think I would trust much of their information.

Can you imagine what they would have been posting during the pet food recall?
