I hate to be the rainer on everyone’s parade, but P & G does not make their own pet food. Not only that, but the same company that produces Pukenuba and Slimes produces all dry, moist and semi moist pet foods. I know this because I used to work for one of the companies.
They make all Purina pet foods, the Wal Mart brand pet food, you name it, they make it. And a lot of it is made right there in the good old US of A. Check out Doan’s just west of Joplin, MO, on the MO/KS line.

“How much money does JUST the kidney function test for an animal exposed to the poison cost? Just that ONE test- say 100 bucks,times how many pets have been tested?= very big bucks for the Vets, is it enough money that could justify how the vets betrayed us?”

I had my cat’s kidney function tested about two weeks after the recall was announced because she ate those Iams and Nutro packets almost every night. It’s only by the grace of God that she’s fine. I think the tests cost between $90.00-$100.00.

Incidentally, the vet told me I was overreacting because only 16 pets had died. We now see another vet.

Maybe hitting them in their ‘pocketbooks’ will make them do a little better with their quality control and testing in the future.
This whole mess should never have happened.

Gee, what a shame. I only lost 4 cats and all the money i had is going to the vet. Let’s just keep up the Boycott, every P&G product ever made. They think they’ve seen something now? Wait until it gets worse.

the one time i bought their product many years ago my cats wouldnt eat it and no way id buy it now but ive noticed the last 3 times i went to the market all the IAMs was either on sale or marked 50% off for clearance. and this was the dry crap.

and like others i noticed the new bags-i thought, the audacity of these tools-they think the consumer is completely stupid. like putting ted bundy in a french maid’s outfit and thinking-yes no one will think of him as a killer now….

they all have some ’splainin’ to do not more poor mouth whinging about their profits. oh boo blanking hoo. let’s break out the hankies over the loss of some a-holes bonus this year. some people who can ill afford it are swimming in vet bills and grief because of your poisoned product.

Hitting them in the pocketbook is all they understand. I never bought IAMS and continue to tell people all about companies like P&G.

IMO:It’s certainly nice to hear that P&G is hurting in profits. But I haven’t heard the CEO even say he’s sorry about all the sick and dead pets. All he and the rest of P&G care about is their greedy pockets. Does this mean they didn’t get a big bonus?

It doesn’t make me feel any better though, I would rather have my little dog back where she belongs not buried in my backyard.

I hope people will continue to BOYCOTT and spead the word on how their pet food has poisoned pets.

IAMs new bag of dry dog food isn’t fooling anyone its still crap in a new brown bag. And that will always be IMO.
