Rabbit Adopts Cats

Already feeling warm and fuzzy inside because the holiday season is approaching? Well, here is a story to make you feel extra warm and fuzzy inside.

Summer, a five-month-old rabbit, adopted a litter of kittens when they were brought home by her owner.

Melanie Humble, a veterinary nurse, brought the litter of kittens home and expected to see her cat Ellie to be interested in them. But instead Summer showed her maternal instinct and began to care for the five-week-old kittens. They all snuggle and play together, and Humble said the kittens think that Summer is their mother.

The kittens were abandoned by their mother and Humble agreed to foster them until they reach eight-weeks-old. For now, both Humble and Summer seem to be doing a great job of taking care of the little kittens and giving them the love they deserve.

Aww… really cute picture. It’s nice that the kittens have a “mama” who looks after them.

“How come you have such big ears mom?” Wish our varied cultures could get along like these guys do! No religion. politics or greed - ain’t it great?
