One of NASA’s newest employees is a dog. Aries, a Golden retriever puppy, goes to work everyday at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Virginia. His owner is a structural engineer at NASA and brings Aries to work as part of her program with Leader Dogs for the Blind. She is there to experience the work environment and become a well-socialized dog that knows basic commands. When she is at work, she wears her blue coat that says “Future Leader Dog”. After 12 months, Aries will move onto Michigan (where Leader Dogs for the Blind is located) and will find her new owner and home. I wonder if Aries had to go through a strict background check and pawprinting to work at NASA.
