Thank you to those honest, compassionate officers who have the guts to report abuse.

Those who stand by and just keep their mouths shut are the equivalent of whimps in my book.

I just wish that dogs weren’t used for police work.

Anyone seen any stats on the effectivity of dogs in this line of work? I’d be curious to see them.

I hope other officers around the country speak out against the abuse they see of other K-9 officers. I’ll bet this is quite wide spread, and I’m glad we’re hearing more about it to keep these barbarians away from pets.

Those officers who don’t report what they see and keep quiet for the sake of the brotherhood are JUST AS GUILTY AS THE ONES DIRECTLY ABUSING THE DOGS. Would you want one of these abusers or those keeping silent handling your call for help? NOT ME! ALL SHOULD BE FIRED!

Good for the officer who videotaped and then reported the abuse. How can we expect police officers who abuse animals to NOT resort to abuse with people? As I just said, the correlation between the two is clear. I hope this poor dog (and others who might be identified by the investigation) are placed with officers who will treat them with the respect and care they so deserve. These are dogs who would die for their handler partners.

The two panty waists who didn’t report it were therefore condoning that sort of abuse towards the poor working dog….they deserve punishment and a hard look at how they treat their working dog partners. The ass hole who abused his dog also deserves a big ass kicking, physically. KUDO’s to the Good Officer who got it on his cell phone and pursued justice for the poor working dog. I hope that dog gets a human partner who loves him for real.
