I agree with Kevin, except “idiot” is too nice of a word. I would never “thank” the SOB, but I’m very glad to know that the world is aware of dog fighting now, but it remains ignorant of how widespread it is. IT IS EVERYWHERE!!!!! SICK VICK is just one bean in the bag, people.

I cannot see “Steve Dale” without wanting to wash in bleach and reading something he wrote, not possible without gagging.
For many people, I hear.
Pit bulls , as a breed, might find that with “Steve Dale” as a friend they really do not need any enemies.
Michael Vick cannot do as much harm to a dog as “Steve Dale”.

The article is quite supportive of the “pit bull,” and written to reach the average, non-activist reader, so I don’t think Dale’s done a bad job in this instance — especially if people will actually read it.

I figure it’ll be at least five more years before I can see the words “thanks” and “Michael Vick” written that close to each other without a wave of disgust washing over me. I would rather give my thanks to the individuals working in law enforcement and animal welfare (not PETA!) who helped begin this process by investigating the poor dogs imprisoned, abused, and killed on Vick’s Moonlight Drive property.

Yes, for the “pit bulls,” I do hope the tide is beginning to turn.

[BTW, the dog in the picture included with this story is absolutely gorgeous. Stunning. Beautiful. :) ]

I grew up with a “Pit Bull” or American Stratfordshire Terrier in the 1950’s and early 60’s and (his name was) Jocko was one of the best dogs ever. We as kids were taught to not bother him while he was eating and nothing negative ever happend and he was affectionate and protective of all of us. He was an extremely loyal dog and was a muscular wonder!
