This might look funny, but you can be well assured this poor cat doesn’t like it one bit! Just look at it’s eyes, poor thing looks terrified! I wouldn’t think of torturing my cat by wrapping it’s ears up in foil. I think it’s owner is stupid. Just my opinion.
Yes, I agree with Cynthia. Poor kitty must be very frightened. Think about how he feels with aluminum foil crunching up his ears and covering his head. Probably on the verge of cruelty. Let’s not promote the idea that this is funny. JMHO.
People put dopey, uncomfortable costumes on their pets all the time. What about the picture of the cat in the tight, one-piece, cow costume from a couple of days ago? Consider chilling out just a teeny-tiny bit.
And yes, if someone did this to me I’d find it hilarious. I’m quite fond of aluminum foil horns/antennae.
Some cats don’t mind unusual… my neighbors cat who would sneak out and beat up all cats and dogs in the neighborhood would go around the block in a stroller (the kind that folds) you know… belly up sitting like a person… with neighbors young ! May have been some outfits involved. Cat didn’t mind for some reason…. cats are such creatures of mystery.
This is not a dopey uncomfortable costume–it’s aluminum foil scrunched up on his ears and head. I’m pretty sure it feels awful and sounds scary. I’m just guessing here, but I bet the cat does not like this. Look at his face.
And pit bull lover, I guess that “two wrongs don’t make a right” adage, applies to treatment of cats. If you want to put aluminum foil on your head, please do if you like it so much. Sorry, this is still wrong.
i’ve had cats who seemed more like dogs- the kind you can dress up and they love the attention. i used to plunk a tiny sombrero on top of my persian and she enjoyed it, gracias, especially on the fifth of may…and i now have a torbie who comes when i whistle or smack the bottem of my leg-just like with a dog.
i’m sure most children on looking back on those humiliating human baby pictures and what their parents put them in because it was ‘ so cute’ want to kill them…but that’s what therapy is for. there are far more glaring acts of cruelty out there-and none of us where there for this shot. what some cats will tolerate varies greatly and none of us are the cat in question.projection is particularly unbecoming when done to a DSH feline.
I think anyone who takes an objective look at this picture can tell the cat is not enjoying the experience. Look at its body language: ears back, eyes wide. It’s sad that someone thought this was “funny”. Animals are so often victims of silly human antics. This is NOT comparable to baby pictures unless the child is being made miserable in a painful costume. That would be the only comparison. Sorry, this is just cruel.

I certainly agree with Cynthia and Pam! Not at all funny! This owner probably “lets” her cat ride on top of the car like Mutt Romney!

Thanks for the new edit tool, but this one doesn’t need editing. Love cats too much to see one treated this way.
