i must not love my pets. i had to leave them for 3mos.

many people have to leave their pets for extended periods on occasion. but it’s OUR responsibility to make SURE they are being properly cared for. i spoke with my care givers (and the cats!) several times a week and even had a few temp live-ins along with my LL (in the same building) as back up. you do what you have to do.

Music tours nowadays do not keep you away from home for two consecutive months. Somewhere in between there is one or more breaks. And let’s be real here, he’s not exactly a heavyweight in the music business.

However my point is that ANY PERSON WHO LOVED HIS PET WOULD MAKE IT A POINT NOT TO LEAVE IT FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE MONTHS. He would at least make a few trips home to check up.

So if he didn’t go home during that time [he claims he did not] then the dogs only serve one purpose for him: dog fighting inventory.

not that i’m defending him, but he goes on tour. as i said above, he should still be held accountable as he is ultimately responsible for their care and should have been aware of their health on a reg basis. after all, he is paying people to care for them.

To my knowledge they haven’t figured out exactly how long the dead animals were killed. Translation: it could have been a few months back when this devil WAS home. In either case, home or not, it’s his property, his dogs, his responsibility, and his crime.

What kind of person has a pet and leaves it home for two months at a time? Come on, now. We are not stupid.

I’m hoping the reason there’s been no arrest yet is because either they are waiting on more forensic lab results or perhaps they are waiting to see if the feds will take the case instead. Or maybe stalling to see how the Vick case turns out.

This jerk is every bit as guilty as M.Vick and DMX’s attorney is talking like a true SLEEZEBAG. I hope DMX goes down in flames like he deserves to for abusing and fighting dogs. PERIOD!

I raised 4 sons with lots of pets,and always taught them to treat animals humanely and with respect.Not one of my 4 rambuctious sons ever mistreated an animal ..Apparently lots of parents are not teaching their children basic care,compassion and kindness for all living things.This abberent behavior starts in the home and with the attitude parents treat or show thier kids how to treat animals..This disgusts me,there is no excuse for it,and anyone who can treat human or animal with abuse or lack of care or compassion is evil in my book and missing something in thier brains!!!!!!I live in the South and while not all people are cruel or neglectful of thier animals ,most of the locals around here do not treat their dogs or cats with the care,love,compassion and concern they deserve.I also am a Northern transplant and I am not saying it doesn’t happen up North but it is a HUGE problem here!

Twelve ++ Pit Bulls as pets ??? Celebrity ??? SNORT, SNORT.
So you have at least fourteen pet dogs and you are away from home for months at a time. And you never make even a phone call to see how your pets are. VERY STRANGE !!
So the caretaker and veterinarian must be fighting these dogs.
The poor dog in the picture is emiaciated and terrified and injured.
Excellent care given this dog !!!!!
So bring dog fighting charges against those, in who’s custody, the dogs were. And see if they will swear that DMX had nothing to do with it.
