I am in the pursuit of a degree in Large Animal Vet. I have my first two years of college paid for, but I know there is more years than that to deal with. I am attending ABAC and then transfering to UGA. Are there any scholarships or grants to actually help me pay for the rest of it?

I wanted to learn more about large animal vets, and the shortage that is occurring in that profession, and I came across a website that I think everyone might like to take a look at. The website is wikihorseworld.com and the link to the article about large animal vets is: http://www.wikihorseworld.com/wiki/Large_Animal_Veterinarians

My daughter loves horses, goats, etc. and works at my sister's horse farm. She is a junior in high school and has always wanted to be a large animal vet in Maine, but after seeing how much her education will cost, if she is not able to get some sort of grant, etc. she may not be able to pursue that career. I hope that the State
s do something to help these students desiring to go into the large animal field.

It is correct that there is shortage of animal doctors. It is a very problem for them who have own animals. There is so much students studying, but they are not going to higher studies.
