Just make sure the label has no onions...try to avoid the dinners, and go for the pure meat stage ones. That stuff can be a lifesaver...often when a sick cat will eat nothing else, it's a good way to get some nourishment into their system. It really helped when my crf cat crashed. Now she's eating regularly again, but she lived on baby food for a few months when she was really ill. Virginia, where the 'kennel' is located, is planning on trying him on several charges, in addition to the federal charges he faces. So his problems may just be starting.
