Vick’s Former Property Fails To Sell At Auction

Vick house

Michael Vick’s former Surry County property that served as the headquarters of his dog fighting operation failed to sell at auction this past weekend.

Real estate developer and current owner of the 15-acre property, Wilbur Ray Todd Jr., rejected a final bid of $747,000. There were only two bidders on the property.

Todd said, “I didn’t see the people in the crowd I thought we needed.” He will now list the property for sale.

He added that it would cost about $1 million to build a similar house on 15 acres.

Todd bought the property for $450,000 and spent an additional $50,000 fixing up the property.

He said that the nearly $250,000 he would have made from the auction would not be enough because of the commission and taxes he would have paid.

That’s too funny. Guess not that many people want to deal with all those ghosts!

Seems that a lot more people have a sense right and wrong than this idiot. I hope he gets stuck with this accursed property for a long long time.

That land is nothing but a graveyard full of innocent, sweet, helpless little souls that didn’t even have a chance…due to the conditions and reasons they were brought into Vick’s sick world of dog fighting. Their littl souls are in heaven now but that land and house represents one of the worst cases of on going animal abuse.

    The CURSE exists!!!!!!!

  5. Bridgett says:

That is what I was thinking too. Maybe burn the house down, find all the dog graves and give them decent burials.

    Here is a horrible thought:

Can you imaging trying to plant a tree on this property and running into dog bones?!

  6. Lynn says:

I think they ought to give up trying to sell and donate the land and dwellings to the feds who possibly could preserve the land and make it into a historical landmark. [I have no clue if this is possible.] This way the graves wouldn’t be disturbed and it will always be remembered for what it was. We should never forget what happened there.

What a greedy jerk! The way the market is right now, he should have shut up, taken the 747k, and been happy with that. Does he REALLY think, in this market, he’s going to get a good price? LLLLLLLLLLLLLoser!

Personally, I think the city should raze the whole thing and turn the property into a dog park!

Todd, your an idiot! I’m sure you expected to make some real money on this. Your a loser and now your paying. You should sue Vick for aquiring such a cursed piece of property.

Just bite the bullet and convert it into something worth while like an animal shelter.

  9. Jerrie says:

Personally I think Michael himself ought to donate his home as an animal shelter. He would be doing a greater service in that community, plus the small amount of jail time. This should be part of the judges sentencing for those who abuse animals. My thought is did he grow up this way abusing animals as a boy!
