A Louisiana chief deputy saved an one-eyed boa constrictor that had been missing since March and recognized the snake and returned it to his owner.
The 8-foot boa stopped traffic to a screeching halt when he slithered on a highway. Drivers were unsure what to do. One wanted to run over the snake and another wanted to shoot it.
Finally, the chief deputy came out to investigate and caught the snake by the tail and put it in a pillowcase. He recognized the snake from the year before when the snake’s owner showed him off at the police department. The snake and his owner have been reunited.
