It sounds cheesy, but all of us can truly make a difference in the world around us (just look at all of you out there trying to make a difference in the pet food industry and speaking up for our pets). One Virginia woman also chose to make a difference too.
While searching online, she was inspired by a story about a family that was raising funds for their Golden retriever that was diagnosed with lymphoma. She began knitting scarves to help raise funds and through this, Wrapped In Kindness began. Volunteers make and sell treat totes, scarves, pet beds, flip flops, and pendants and the funds go to pets in need of medical treatment. Ever since their start in October 2004, they have raised almost $80,000 for animal organizations. Buy a scarf for you and your dog.
